Make known His deeds among the people . . .
Make them remember that His name is exalted . . .
For He has done excellent things . . .
Let this be known throughout the earth . . .
Isaiah 12:4-5 NASB
Beginning Monday, April 16th from 3-4PM join me on WFIA AM 900. We’re going to start talking about all the excellent things God has done, is doing and will continue to do! How exciting to have one hour each weekday to do nothing but tell God at Work stories. With so many negative headlines bombarding us daily, we can easily lose sight of our exalted God. It’s time to make His deeds known among the people. It’s time to make them remember. We want His great name and His great fame to be known throughout the earth!
We’re praying like Moses, “God, show us Your glory.” We want a front row seat. We will applaud You and sing Your praise, because we truly believe there is none like You.
The church claims to have faith in God, yet so often we don’t expect Him to be God in our lives. If Jesus walked among us today as He did with His disciples, would He shake His head at our unbelief the way He did then?
God is mighty in the Old Testament. We read of a Creator who speaks the world into being. A God who communicates personally with His servants and calls weak men into service empowering them with His strength. Through Him battles are won, miracles are performed – the impossible becomes reality time and time again.
Then in the New Testament . . . Jesus! The perfect Lamb of God. Lame men walk. Lepers are healed. Blind see and the dead are raised. And with His own death and resurrection, Jesus cancels the power of sin once for all. His church is born, 3,000 plus are added in one day and His good news spreads.
Now here we are. 2012. Is He the same yesterday, today and forever? Can we only read of His power and presence in the past or can we know Him – not just know about Him?
When we pray, will He hear us? Does He answer? When we seek Him, do we find Him? Where are those among us who can’t keep quiet; who can’t stop speaking in the name of Jesus?
He has done excellent things and He continues to do excellent things, and we will make His deeds known among the people. We will remember that He alone is exalted! We’re going to interview individuals who have been transformed. We’ll hear testimony from those who are watching God answer prayer. We’ll talk with some who have found God at work even in suffering, disappointment and sorrow. We’ll open the Word for teaching and equipping that will empower us to live like we believe.
Spread the word and join me Monday through Friday from 3-4PM. I believe God is going to raise that bar of faith in our lives. We’re praying, believing and expecting our great God to do His unusual task and work His extraordinary work in our lives as we shine the spotlight on Him!
