Already getting excited about the encouraging God at work stories He has planned for this week on Excellent Things. Hope you can join us live or catch a pod cast. Our faith is growing as we hear all He is doing in the world around us. He is good. He is mighty. He is at work! Let the whole world know!
Monday- TC Stallings: former UofL football standout turned actor for Christ. Most recently you’ve seen him as the villan in Courageous. We know the enemy is at work in media and entertainment today, but what about our great God? What is He doing to call others to Himself through the Arts? Get an insider’s perspective as TC shares what he’s witnessing behind the scenes in the industry.
Tuesday- Four Eastern High School Students give us a report of God using an after school Bible study group to introduce teen girls to Christ. A conglomeration of students, faculty and a few moms gather weekly and watch God grow their group from humble beginnings to a ministry that now includes service and mentoring of girls in middle school.
Wednesday- Marriages, get ready for some encouragement! Tim and Patti Smith will be with us to share how God rescued their marriage from the brink of divorce, brought them both to Christ and is now opening doors for them to build into other marriages. Patti has authored a book entitled I Do Over. Theirs is a huge message of hope. Spread the word. Listen for your own marriage but invite other couples to tune in as well.
Thursday- Open phone lines! Time for you to give a shout of praise, a one-word offering of thanks or tell a God at work story in your own life. This week we’ll also talk about using a God at work box in our homes to keep His mighty deeds front and center in our lives, where they belong.
Friday- 2012 Boston Marathon winner Wesley Korir will be our honored guest this Friday. I say honored because every time I’m with Wesley, I’m amazed at his humility and the sincerity of his heart to run for the glory of God and the good of others. Find out how the Lord plucked this unlikely running star out of poverty in Africa and placed him on a world stage, putting resources in his grasp that are now making an eternal difference for many!
Everyday in the studio I stand amazed by God’s mighty deeds as I listen to story after story of those He has redeemed and called by name; those He has saved and who now serve Him. Can’t join us live from 3-4 each weekday? Go to WFIA’s web site and listen to the pod casts. Be encouraged, for He has done Excellent Things!
