Let the whole world praise our God! Celebrate God at work this week as you tune in to Excellent Things on WFIA 94.7 FM and AM 900, 3-4 PM, M-F. Live on-line listening and podcasts of previous shows at www.wfiafm.com.
Monday: Here’s our opportunity to check in with two local ministries featured previously on Excellent Things. Gaye Cox, founder of Storm Haven Youth Ranch and Jeff Stumph with Orphan Care Alliance are back to tell more God at work stories. I just loved hearing what God is doing in and through these ministries the first time around and couldn’t wait to invite them back to give us more reports! Storm Haven Youth Ranch rescues broken horses, cares for them and then partners them with hurting children. You’ll be in tears as we celebrate God’s mighty work through this ministry. And, Orphan Care Alliance is watching God perform miracles of transformation in the lives of young people as they serve the fatherless one need at a time.
Tuesday: During their 18 years in China, missionaries Mike and Joy Hagan witnessed incredible growth in the Chinese Christian community. Even though there are restrictions and obstacles in China for Christians, God is growing His church! Currently, the Hagans are involved with the International Student Ministry at the University of Louisville serving a community of over 1,000 young men and women from over 90 different nations with one of the largest groups being from China. Hear how God is moving in the lives of these students, preparing them to return to their own countries to reach their friends and families for Christ!
Wednesday: November is National Adoption Month! Join Brad and Jennifer Devries as we recognize God’s mighty work through those He calls to foster to adopt. The Devries family is not only fleshing out this calling in their own family, but God is using them to raise awareness and call on the church to reach out with open arms to children needing the love and blessing of a Christian home.
Thursday: When the enemy gets a stronghold in our lives, it’s just that – a strong hold. Be encouraged by this story of victory as one man shares how Christ set him free from addiction. God is now using attorney Bill Hunter to help other men walk in the freedom Christ offers.
Friday: Best Of this week with Hillary Holdaway – what happens when women buy the lies of a culture dominated by unrealistic standards of external beauty? Hillary talks about the process of God exposing those lies in her own life and teaching her to renew her mind to believe truth so that she could overcome anorexia.
