Monday: Tim Akin, Student Pastor at Highview Baptist Church Fegenbush Campus, served as a missionary in Central Asia before returning home to full-time ministry in the States. Tim is now watching God move in young lives as he partners with parents to help them disciple their students. Great insight for parents and grandparents who long to see their families living for the Lord for generations to come!
Tuesday: Talk about the mighty hand of God going before His children – Jerry & Kendrick McCandless have amazing stories to tell! Favor from the Father continues to open doors, provide resources and increase impact as this Grandpa and Grandma answer an unusual call to establish orphanages in Romania. Long-standing relationships and a great love for the Lord and “the least of these” keep Jerry & Kendrick empowered and expectant as they watch God do more than they’d ever imagined!
Wednesday: Recently Jefferson Street Baptist Center hosted it’s 4th annual Thanksgiving Dinner for the Homeless. Hundreds of Louisville residents gathered to share a meal and some gratitude together. Jesse Eubanks, the Center’s Interim Executive Director, brings us a report on the nation’s 4th oldest rescue mission and the mighty work of God that began over 130 years ago and continues strong today.
Thursday: When Denny Stomberger began contemplating retirement, he knew it would require selling J-Town Hardware, the store he began working in as a teenager and then eventually bought. But, who would be interested in buying an old-fashioned hardware store in a world where mom-and-pop businesses are being gobbled up daily by big, box stores? He, and his family, began to pray for the Lord to make a match. Meanwhile, the Meiners family asked God for a place where they could work together as a family. You’ll be encouraged as you listen to Denny Stomberger and Tim Meiners tell how the Lord orchestrated this hand-off and you’ll be reminded to trust the Lord to supply all of your needs!
Friday: Family Friday: My husband Kurt Sauder is back again to help us be intentional about discipling our kids throughout the commercialized Christmas season. How can Christ-following families stay grounded and grateful in a world dominated by greed? We’ll see what God’s Word has to say about being gift-givers who keep God’s glory as our primary focus.
