Olivia writing this time! The first thing we want to give God glory for is His Church, His people, and the outpouring of Christ’s love. We are absolutely blown away.
Colossians 4:12 says “Epaphras…is always wrestling in prayer for you.” There are so many of you who are wrestling in prayer for us and that is the greatest gift – we are SO thankful.
Here is an update so you can pray specifically, keeping in mind that this is what the doctors say but what matters is what God says- The doctors believe the PET Scan shows cancer on the lung, tail bone and they see suspicious spots on the brain. The doctor still needs more specific information, some tests will be repeated. Mom is scheduled for another biopsy of the lung and an additional MRI of the brain. Radiation treatments for the brain are scheduled to begin soon, probably next week.
We still firmly believe that this is an attack from the enemy. We are already seeing God bring good through this. Prayers are being answered and Christ is Victor! Please continue to pray and battle for complete healing and for His glory and honor to shine through this whole journey.

Kurt, Kristen and family. What happens when an amazing God is the center of an amazing family? Amazing faith is created. Sauder Faith. While prayer will continuously occur for all of you and especially Kristen, we continue to be inspired by your true heart and unshakeable faith, and in all things, God will do glorious and wonderful things. To him be the glory, to you the continuous love, prayer and support of a Church community who cares for all of you deeply.

In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Kristen’s situation is so suddenly of catastrophic proportions that it is mind boggling. I attend Blankenbaker campus, have on occasion visited Oldham, and have tuned into Excellent Things. Kristen and Kurt’s children certainly seem spiritually mature. I whole heartedly join you all in your battle for complete healing to His honor and glory!

This “talent” of cancer will be used for HIS POWER to be made known to so many and because you trustingly glorify HIM in this and through this, you are giving it back with interest….you are investing this trial for KINGDOM PURPOSES (Matt 25:27)…taken from Streams in the Desert, Dec. 18th, the day of your results….warring with you to battle cancer and fear and infuse you with strength and peace!

Dear Kristen, oh how I am praying for you and your family! This is a blow, and a detour, and a really brutal attack from the enemy. The good news is, he never wins. We know that God works all things for good, for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Yes, God will work this for good. You will experience His love, mercy, wisdom, and power in ways you could not have otherwise known. Another thing we know is that you are God’s own child. And, He takes care of what belongs to Him. Rest under His wing, and listen to His voice. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. Let Him feed you daily with manna of strength.
