Kurt writing this time. The Lord has reminded me that all this is like farming. You till the soil and get it just right, you fertilize it, get the PH just right, buy the best seed, plant it at the right depth and the right population (about 30,000 seeds per acre), make sure you use the right pesticides, and you try to do everything right so that you can have a great crop. But, it must rain!
God must provide the rain. If you do everything you can to produce a solid harvest but it doesn’t rain, then there will be no crop, no harvest.
On the farm we would work hard, try to calculate everything just right and then we would pray and ask God for His blessing from above – water! That is where we are today with Kristen. She is resting, eating better than ever before, alkaline diet, drinking alkaline water (about a gallon a day!), taking curcumin supplements for lung cancer, and is beginning radiation of the brain tomorrow, but we need the rain – the touch of God on all of this. We need His hand of healing.
We need your miracle Lord, and we in faith and trust are asking You to send rain. Let it rain, Lord! Let it pour down on Kristen. We already sense that Your healing has begun and we ask that that would continue! We need You, Lord, and we need Your hand of blessing and healing on my beloved bride. Thank you that You are our great Rock and salvation. Thank You for so many people who have blessed and encouraged us in so many ways.
Please join us in asking God for healing rain. If you would like to join us in praying and fasting on certain days you can sign up at http://www.signupgenius.com/go/70A0C48A9A823A31-fasting.
Thank you, Kurt

Dear Loving Father…In the name of your Son, Jesus, I ask you to pour down your healing rain on my sweet friend, Kristen. Cover her from the top of her head to the souls of her feet as you wash away the cancer from her body. When she travels through a valley, Father, I know you will send Jesus to carry her through. Give her peaceful rest as you restore her energy and bring her to good health once again. Give peace and strength to Kurt, Olivia, Drew, Ivy, and Ellie as they care for their precious wife and mother, and fill their hearts with hope as they watch Kristen’s health blossom and grow with new life. Hear our prayers, Father, in Jesus’ name…..Amen

Please GOD….send down the rain and heal the most amazing women I know!!!!!

Kurt I’m praying for Kristen and for God to pour down his rain on her and your family. God can and does and I know this from personal cancer experience. When I needed him to get me through my cancer he opened doors that I’d been warned would take weeks if not months to open. All in all it took a total of 9 days to get every test I needed, surgery scheduled and a sense of peace that I cannot explain. I am praying for this same peace for Kristen. We look tough on the outside, but on the inside we crumble and thats okay, because God is always there to put those pieces back together again. I will pray continually and throughout the day tomorrow for her. Blessings to you and Hugs to your wonderful wife.

Amy Ellenwood says
Dear, dear brother and sister in Jesus,
You have been heavy on my heart ever since Charlie wrote to ask us to pray. I was awake for several hours in the night, and sensed the urging of the Spirit to pray for you…to stand with you against fear and to ask in faith for healing.
I am deeply humbled and challenged by your faith.
“Without faith it is impossible to please God… Because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He IS, and that He rewards those who diligently seek Him.”
Oh precious faith-full friends, your faith must be so pleasing to your Father. You are not shrinking back in unbelief but you are counted among those who believe and are saved. I praise Him this morning because of you! I can see that you are looking to Him, eyes fixed on Jesus….because you are radiant.
Know that Mel and I are, and will continue to stand with you believing and interceding from across the ocean.
In Him,
Amy (Klopfenstein) Ellenwood

I didn’t know who to ask for an update and feared it was “none of my business.” I am so grateful that Paul S. at the OC campus pointed me in the right direction to your blog. I have been praying for you daily in my “tent” each day since Kurt made the announcement at church. Now I can be more intentional. Praying hard for rain!

Kurt,
As I read your post, Isaiah 55:10,11 came to mind: “As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”
Just as Kristen is eating good things for her body in the natural, keep eating those doses of “healing scripture” that are good like medicine. Our family is praying. Jim & I will fast every Monday until breakthrough!

Precious Kristen, I had just started listening to your incredible program on 94.7, when I heard the devastating news. I know now the Lord led me to listen at that particular time of the day to get to know you better, and hear the love you have for our Savior and for others.. You are truly a Job through my eyes, in that, God uses His most precious and special children that LOVE Him so, to show those who are watching, His miracles and His plan for your life. God will be honored and glorified through this more than we could ever imagine. HE IS GREAT!
Jehovah Rapha, I cry out to you for complete healing of Kristen’s body and the peace she so needs right now! AMEN
Dr. Jim Jewell says
Kurt and Kristen…you are both in my heart of prayer…and your children. Hebrews 6:11-20 instructs us to fix our hope solely on the character and promises of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. There is but one safe refuge for hope in this world, and that is the unchanging character of the triune God and the certain promises of Scripture that flow out of His character. “This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil, where Jesus has entered as a forerunner for us” (Hebrews 6:19-20).
A Godly hope is achieved also through adversity. We are much more likely to come into contact with our hope during times of trial and affliction than times of success and prosperity.
I pray that my and everyones “hope” that you, your children and Kristen life and health be Blessed and Healed is answered!
