Merry Christmas! We are so grateful for our Savior Jesus and the Good News of peace on earth.
We cannot express our gratitude- every note, every verse, every text, and every prayer continues to mean so much. We praise God for each of you.
Just a little update: Kristen had another MRI yesterday (December 24th). We are awaiting the results and asking for God’s power and healing. On Thursday the 27th we have an appointment with the radiologist, Dr. Birkhead. And on the 28th we have another biopsy of the lung. Please pray that the healing process has already begun!
We love you all. You are in our thoughts and prayers as well.

Kristen, Chad and I are praying for your lung biopsy to go well today. The Lord is so good, and He will be glorified through all of this! Tomorrow is my day of prayer and fasting for your family, and I can’t wait to be part of your team !
**Thank you for your prodigal study, I’ve been brought through some dark times through continuing to pray for both the prodigals in my life, and have seen light in one of them, and for that I am truly grateful to you and to Him ! Kim Queen

To Kristen and your loving family – How can I offer any words that would create another solid rung on your ladder of HOPE you climb at this time? I can only offer words I feel God had placed on my heart and let them be as He intends. One thing I have learned over the years is that some things just cannot be learned in ‘the light’ … only in total darkness can ‘pillar strength’ be grown. Only in that dark lonely place can our Teacher, God’s Holy Spirit, can educate us on what this strength can do and then be made manifest within. Yet, we aren’t even aware of what has been going on because we are so numb. But this amazing process will forge such deep roots in us but we won’t even realize it until long after we are moved out of the darkness and back into the light. What a GLORIOUS time that is! Then situations – one after another – will arise that normally would appear impossible or frightening. Yet, this time, as they begin to come – one after another – without hesitation there comes a rushing strength we have never known before. You ask yourself, “Is this me? How is it that I can see so much more clearly? I feel so S-T-R-O-N-G! I feel large inside my heart. I see myself as a liberated spirit whose body stretches out way past the normal boundaries my spiritual skin and it feels AMAZING! This is my prayer for you, for Kurt and for your family. And today I am serving the devil notice that he is NO MATCH for ‘Kristen Sauder!’ She may be tiny but she is MIGHTY in God’s eyes and in all that shall ever come her way.
When shepherds roamed the rocky hills at night to be sure the flock was safe they wore sandals with tiny oil lamps tied to their tops. As they took a step enough light was provided for that one step only yet it was just enough to see their way clear and avoid the rocks in their way. No – it didn’t illuminate the entire hillside – only enough for one step at a time. When we hit the dark times of life God it seems so lonesome and uncertain. Yet God gives us, through His Word, just enough light for one step at a time. Although we wish we could have more, that small amount will carry us to our destination “one step at a time.”
“Thy Word is like a lamp unto my feet – a light unto my path.” Psalm 119:105.
With love and prayers always,
Nancy Burrows
