Liv and Kurt writing here 🙂 Tonight as a family we each chose a story in the Bible that we loved that showed the bigness and greatness of our God and shared them together. We read the stories of Gideon and the fleece, Abraham and the sacrificial ram, David and Jonathan defeating the Philistines, God sparing Lot, and Mom and Dad both chose Daniel being rescued from the lion’s den. We were reminded again of how incredible our mighty God is, how He shows up and demonstrates His power and His glory.
Please pray this week as we await the biopsy report from New York and as we continue in radiation, that God would show up in a big way. Please also pray that Mom would sleep through the night. Her and Dad have been not been sleeping well. Mom especially needs her rest. We are desperate for His grace, mercy and power in our lives. So thank you again for praying for God’s hand of full healing, comfort, and peace on Kristen and our whole family. We are praising God that she walked a little over two miles tonight and continues to eat fairly well, holding down all her vitamins and supplements. So grateful for all your prayers, thanks and blessings.

Kristen, Kurt and family–
All these stories are wonderful reminders of how big our God is!! And don’t forget Daniel’s friends, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego ( Rack, Shack and Benny!)
Just like those three men, you have stood firm for our Lord and the enemy, like Nebuchadnezzar, is trying to destroy you in the furnace.
My prayer is for you to emerge from this trial unscathed as well, bringing glory to the one true King.
” Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent his angel and delivered his servants, who trusted in him, and set aside the king’s command, and yielded up their bodies rather than serve and worship any god except their own God.” (Daniel 3:28)
We are praying for you Kristen, Kurt and kids– much love.

Hi Sauder family!! and all prayer warriors, This is Angie writing for Becky (from Northern Kentucky).
I am so grateful for the opportunity to join with Southeast in fasting and believing for Kristen’s complete recovery. As we fast, our flesh grows weaker but the spirit grows stronger. I have been shown that the Holy Spirit is lifting Kristen up out of the Lion’s den. The angel warriors will close the mouths of the lions as we fast on her behalf. I ask that anyone who is called, please join with us on a total fast (water only) on January 14th, 2013. My pastor shared a verse with us today that I believe confirms this call to action.
2 Samuel 5:20
New King James Version (NKJV)
20 So David went to Baal Perazim, and David defeated them there; and he said, “The Lord has broken through my enemies before me, like a breakthrough of water.” Therefore he called the name of that place Baal Perazim.[a]
2 Samuel 5:20
New International Version (NIV)
20 So David went to Baal Perazim, and there he defeated them. He said, “As waters break out, the Lord has broken out against my enemies before me.” So that place was called Baal Perazim.[a]
Our God is mighty and powerful and loves His children. He has defeated the enemy and as long as we stand in faith and believe, Kristen will be removed from this battle.
Mark 11:24 (NIV) “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it and it will be yours.”
We love you and are standing in full faith and agreement!

Kristen, Kurt & family,
We continue in prayer & fasting before the throne of grace. This scripture in Hebrews 10:35-39 recently spoke to me about perseverance in faith, so I share it with you.
“So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. For in just a very little while, He who is coming will come and will not delay. But my righteous one will live by faith. And if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him. But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved.”
Our confidence remains in the New Covenant by the precious blood of Jesus Christ that gives us ACCESS to His throne of GRACE! Sending much love,
Jim & Donna

Kurt and Kristen,
Thank you for your perseverance and faith! Glory to our God who gives and takes at His will. May your family know real peace during this time and may Jesus, our lord, show you His work and love in ways you have not experienced before. May our hope be in Christ who is the one true deliverer.
In prayer,

Sauder family,
We have never met, but I was directed here because we have a mutual friend who is a dear friend of yours. I am now one of your prayer warriors!
I am writing this, not because I want you to know what I am doing for YOU, but by being directed to this site, I found what I’ve been needing regarding a prodigal child. What a BLESSING TO ME!!!!
As you well know – God works all things to His glory – and even through this trial – you are being used to continue to glorify His kingdom and bring peace to those suffering around you. Praise God!
We will continue to lift you up in our prayers with expectant petitions of full healing and peace as you walk through this journey. Thank you for being the willing servants of the Lord and we trust in Him completely.
Blessings and peace,

Hi Sauder Family
What an inspiration you are – reading yesterdays blog report shows me what a beautiful family you are! Praying for healing and believing in what the Glory of God can do for your family! I heard Kristen is on a plant-like based diet. I believe in the power of eating what God has given us! May it bless you. Have you ever watched Forks Over Knives? Check out this documentary – amazing results about how eating a plant-based diet can save your life AND reverse disease!
Blessings in Christ

Woke up at 4 a.m. with you on my mind. Prayed for you to sleep Kristen. Prayed that mercy and grace would fill your bedroom with rest only He can give. It was like God was showing me you and Kurt holding each other tightly while God’s light filtered in. At first it was like small points of brilliant glow, like fireflies moving toward you, more and more hovering above you, ministering to you both. It was so beautiful. So today I’m praying for you to find beauty in your journey. Beyond test results and healing, an abundance of the goodness of God giving you light and rest and delight on your journey. Psalm 121

Dear Heavenly Father, I come before you in the name of your son, Jesus, asking for your mighty hand to bless Kurt, Kristen, and their family with a serene calmness that will flood through their bodies and cause each of them to fall into deep, healing sleep. Take away all fear and anxious thought, and give them the assurance that “Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the Crown of Life God has promised to those who love Him.” (James 1:12) I also ask, Father, that you protect each of them with strong immunity against the many illnesses that are raging throughout our community. Cover them with your hedge of protection. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen
