The other day I was writing in my journal and praying for a list of people who are sick. As I was talking to our Father, I was getting a little frustrated because so many people were getting sick and I didn’t understand why. But as I was writing, the Lord gave me a beautiful picture. He showed me this: those people are not looking too good through our earthly eyes, but I can trust that through God’s Heavenly eyes He has a different plan, a different story. I had to reread what He had just given me because I wrote it but I didn’t even know I was writing it. It was as if He was making my hand move so He could tell me that it was ok, that I didn’t have to worry. 2 Corinthians 5:7 says, “We live by faith, not by sight.” So through all this I am learning to stop looking through my earthly eyes and instead focus on trusting that God’s Heavenly sight is a much clearer view.
Mom is eating pretty good. A favorite treat that she can have occasionally is wild salmon sushi with avocado and unsweetened brown rice. It doesn’t stick together well because there’s no syrup, but she says it tastes good. Please continue to pray for weight gain. She is planning to speak at Hats Off, an event for women in ministry, on April 25th. Please pray for a good strong day when she speaks.
Thank you! Ellie

Yes! I had a similar experience about 16 years ago and a peace fell over me that surpassed all understanding…..Trusting that God has all this and that it is part of His plan makes all the difference. What a great story and thank you for sharing it. I needed this reminder today 🙂

Amen Ellie, we are to walk by faith and not by sight…to fix our eyes not on what is seen but what is unseen for the things that are seen are temporary but the unseen things of God are eternal!!! Trusting God and praying for 100/100!!! You are an encouragement, keep journaling!
