This month Kristen and I will celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary. You know what they say . . . the longer you’ve been married the more you begin to look like each other. In our case, that’s really proving true!
Scripture teaches that laughter is like good medicine, so along with lots of good medicine, we’re mixing in heavy doses of deep belly laughs! Hope you just enjoyed one on us!
Our four kids beg me to put Kristen’s wig on while I’m always encouraging her to dramatically yank it off – at just the right moment when folks are least expecting it. Just tonight we had the pleasure of bumping into Barney and Sally Long. Nine years ago doctors told Barney he had lymphoma and gave him 2-3 years to live. During our visit Barney commented on Kristen’s hair and said, “So you’ve been able to keep your own hair,” to which Kristen answered, “Actually, this is not my hair.” That was one of those right moments and she whipped it off to reveal her beautiful noggin! What fun! What laughter!
Can you believe it’s been five weeks off of Tarceva? We are asking you to join us this weekend as we prepare for Monday’s tests. We are boldly asking that they won’t be able to find or see anything. Please pray specifically for the doctors to be amazed and for God to do immeasurably more.
