Psalm 46
Forgive me, Father. Forgive my arrogant sin. Fill my cup.
Is there more of the Spirit to do more of the work? Shepherd me. Use Your rod, Your staff. I choose joy today. You’ve made this day. You let me rest to start it! It’s half-way done as I join You now. What are you doing? This world is a cage. My “to do” list is a cage. The never-ending nature of the temporary is a cage – make me a canary.
Let me sing of Your goodness in the land of the living. Let me sing in my chains for You are Worthy to be praised. Let me worship the God of the heavens who reigns supreme.
God is our refuge and strength; a very present help in trouble.
Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth should change.
(Psalm 46:1-2)
Our Present-tense God! God – You do it. You get the job done.
By Your might. By Your power. With Your righteous right hand. Too big for me. Too much to take it. This burden that You have not called me to carry.
I smile at the morning. I rejoice in the new day because You are God.

I love reading Kristin’s words because her words point me to Jesus every single time! Although these journal entries were written several years ago, there is no doubt in my mind that they were ordained by God to inspire, challenge and convict people TODAY!
