This year’s Sauder rhyme may have a really different swing,
Since Ivy is author, her 2 cents she’ll be adding.
What a journey we’ve been on; one we never could have dreamed.
Bless each friend through whom God’s mercy streamed.
Mom is enjoying the beautiful view from heaven,
As we longingly wait and Christ’s presence beckon.
Life’s very different without mom’s aid,
But God’s grace provided, we stand not dismayed.
February brings another Sauder family escapade —
We’re headed to Haiti! Another chance to see God’s love displayed
Pews for a new church are to be in mom’s remembrance
It’s amazing how mom is still being used to God’s kingdom advance
Dad’s full time with Further Still,
Praying God is glorified far beyond Louisville.
Completed the DC program for students,
Hopes the training prepares for greater movements.
June marks the month Matt and Liv tied the knot–
Bummer our wishing for babies are a long shot.
Liv’s working hard, housewife-ing all day,
While Matthew stays busy working Chic-Fil-A
Drew’s year has been full of outdoor fun —
Working Country Lake and hunting deer for yummy bacon!
January starts a semester at JCC
Then he’s off to UK to finish his degree!
As for me, the stress of college decisions was surly a whopper,
But guess what folks — starting next fall I’ll be a WKU Hilltopper!
Senior year has been a blast of busy pleasure
Show choir, new friends, and fall plays are a few of these treasures
Ellie has enjoyed her first semester at CAL
She couldn’t have survived without her sweet guy and gals!
El broke the Mark’s family tradition by starting at Chic-Fil-A
She enjoys the work, but I’m sure it’s just the free food she gets every day!
It’s our hope that this year you’ll not just laugh at this card,
Instead, please think of our Savior in highest regard.
Remember what Christmas brought years ago,
Our sins forgiven and no more sorrow!
Merry Christmas! Love, the Sauder Family
Kurt, Olivia, Matthew, Drew, Ivy and Ellie
