June 21, 2015 is a special day because 24 years ago yesterday Kristen McColl became my bride. Though I still miss her terribly God continues to slowly heal my heart. I am reminded of what DL Moody once said towards the end of his life, “One day soon you’ll hear that I am dead. Do not believe it. I will then be alive as never before.” So even though she has passed, she still lives – Kristen is more alive than ever before! One day I will see her again and the Lord Jesus will make everything right. This is true for all who have trusted and received Jesus as their savior. So while June 21 is a day of tears it is also a day of great hope.
Yesterday was also Fathers Day, and if you are reading this and are a dad, I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Being a dad is truly a gift from our Heavenly Father, so enjoy your family and give thanks for the incredible privilege of being a dad. By the way, one of the greatest gifts you can give to your kids as a dad, is to love their mother well.

My sister unexpectedly died last month at the age of 46 and the quote from DL Moody truly reflects how I feel. I feel my sister’s presence is more on this earth than ever before because her spirit is with the Lord Almighty!!

My name is Amy and my older sister gave me a copy of God Seeker A Journey Through Exodus 33 it was my first bible study and I loved it. I love Kristen’s stories of your children. I love her comical side when she talks about how Moses was so close to God in the Tent of Meeting that he had cloud breath. A Journey Through Exodus 33 is an Amazing study I couldn’t wait to get up in the morning and read. I finished it feeling closer to God than ever before.
