I pray for you brother. My wife Phyllis suffered with stage 4 cancer over the last 2 years, and Yahusha chose to cure her completely. His lovingkindness endures forever. He must have something more for her to do.
Kristen is a precious one that He took, and it serves His purpose to do so.
She served the purpose Yahusha created for her to do.
Our pain shapes our hearts so we will submit completely to His purposes, and He brings us through it all.
Mt. 10:39 is a riddle:
“He who has found his life shall lose it, and he that has lost his life for My sake shall find it.”
This riddle speaks of who’s in control of your life. If you control it to serve your purposes, you will lose everything. If you give your life to Yahusha, He will use your life for eternal purposes, and living water will overflow from your life, and pour into others’ lives, and bring Yahusha’s life to many. The water that goes into the Dead Sea stops, and is completely lifeless. Let the living water flow from you, and He will show you His purpose for creating you.

God Bless you Kurt. These hard things have given you a new vision to help and understand the deep hurts of others. They’ll listen to a brother in Christ that has been there and knows much more than one who doesn’t know the pain. Seems like there has been lots written to help and encourage widows (women) and not so much for the guys. Sad I think. The men sometimes don’t want to feel with their feelings or grieve and will run to get into another relationship that might not always be good for them to keep the loneliness and pain away. Some work out of course and that’s a good thing. You have such Compassion without all the understanding of the loss. God’s great mercy in the middle of tears. I have heard of lots of Christian men losing their wives more of late than ever. It used to be women losing their husbands. My son Cary Rice has had the honor of directing your girls in the CAL plays. He has even gone to see Ivy at Western. She is so talented and your other daughter he says is such a blessing. Praying that her Senior year will be special one. So much like her mama. You are such a good dad and I know Kristen would be smiling seeing how they’ve all gone on in the Lord…that was her prayer. One never gets over a loss like this…but adjusts and if not bitter later can look back see’s God’s great love for them through it all. I do pray that the Lord keeps using you, comforts you and if down the road he has other plans for you to meet someone it will happen, otherwise I know that You love carrying Kristen’s heart on to other’s and will always no matter what. Keep being a comfort to these men in ministry…they have it hard these days. love and prayers, marty rice
