My oldest daughter Olivia and her husband Matt are fostering two precious little girls. The oldest is almost 4 and the youngest is 10 months. As they pour their lives and their hearts into these two little girls, they regularly repeat three short statements to them:
1. I love you
2. You are my daughter
3. You make my heart happy
Have you ever considered that this is how God views us? He loves us, He calls us His children and we make His heart happy. Because of Good Friday, Jesus paid the price for our sin and because of Easter, Jesus conquered sin, death and all the powers of darkness. When we love, trust and receive Jesus into our lives, this is how God views us! Instead of guilt, shame, and condemnation, we make His heart happy. Many of us do not believe that we can really and truly make God’s heart happy. But it is absolutely true!
This Easter weekend enjoy and cherish the great God of redemption – who laid down His life so that we could have life!
Happy Easter! Kurt

Kristen ‘s life and love for God live on further than her earthly body. As I start the study “Praying for your Prodigal,” I lift up my Prodigal to our Lord.
I love him. He is my son. He makes my heart happy. He is loved even more by our heavenly Father. I pray for an understanding of that deep love as my son has strayed from God. I know Jesus walks with him even when he has turned his back on Him.
