Dads, Happy Father’s Day to you!
A reminder: Your life matters. Your love matters. Your faith matters. Your choices matter. Your marriage matters. It really does.
And your life doesn’t just matter now, but actually for generations after you. Steve Farrar says that our lives will influence the next 100 years and even beyond. This means we will impact our children and grandchildren– and our great-grandkids and even our great-great-grandkids. The choices we make and the lives that we live– they touch our families for multiple generations.
Joel 1:3 in a prophetic passage states: “ Tell it to your children, and let your children tell it to their children and their children to the next generation.”
Wow, that really challenges me to make certain that I’m living, teaching, and modeling the Christian faith, so that my faith gets passed to my great-grandchildren. What a privilege and honor to pass Jesus, His life, His message, His gospel down to those coming after us. May God be our help, strength and vision as we walk with Him and trust Him in influencing the precious lives behind us! Help us to be faithful Lord!
