Description
Too often, the Great Commission is reduced to conversion and tepid discipleship by osmosis. But Jesus also commanded us to “teach them everything I have commanded you”. Too often, pastors focus on preaching, administering the church, and ministering to the infirm. But all church leaders are called to “equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” This is an awesome responsibility—and a great opportunity! With more horses in your barn, God can do greater things through your ministry and for His Kingdom. What is your plan for developing “thoroughly equipped” lay leaders in your church—making disciples who can make disciples?
